When buying a plot either for commercial or residential development, their many factors a buyer put into consideration before buying the property. Among the factors include the availability of electricity, water, good road network (accessibility), public & private social amenities (schools, hospitals, shops etc.) and security.

Well, Ruai, Joska, & Kamulu provide all these and much more, located in the eastern parts of Nairobi, bordering Kiambu county to the north and Machakos county to the east. This speaks of a growing socio-economic zone on the outskirts of Nairobi, where the city’s ever-growing population has found a new dormitory. There is an influx of people into the area which is sandwiched between eastern bypass to the west, Greater eastern bypass to the west,Thika super highway to the north and Mombasa – Nairobi highway to the south and of course Kangundo road passing in the middle of Mombasa road and Thika superhighway linking eastern bypass and greater eastern bypass.
With the ongoing and proposed projects by the central government, Nairobi County Government and private entities. Many banks and leading retail stores have established branches in Ruai, while motor vehicle retailers have set up yards. These is an attraction to young professionals and business people who want the land to build homes and settle here in these prime areas while they are affordable. Once the projects and events kick off the prices will shot up.

A major beneficiary of these developments is Ruai town, whose importance as a commercial hub has grown. Ruai sits strategically on the Eastern side of Nairobi at the junction of Kangundo Road and the Eastern bypass that leads to Mombasa Road and the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), and to Thika Road through Kamakis (The dualling of the busy Eastern Bypass, which stretches from Mombasa Road to the Thika Superhighway). The dualling of Outering Road has also helped ease traffic between the city centre and Kangundo Road(There are plans for the expansion of Kangundo Road into a dual carriageway).
